Richard K. Wager Workplace Inclusiveness Award -- nominations sought

    December 5, 2014

MHHRA would like to encourage our members and business partners to nominate a business or nonprofit group that champions diversity in the workplace.

The Richard K. Wager Workplace Inclusiveness Awards pays tribute to Dutchess or Ulster County companies or nonprofit organizations innovative in producing work forces that reflect diversity that benefits the organizations and their communities. Awards will be given to a small company or nonprofit with 100 or fewer employees and to a large organization with 100 or more employees. Nominations can be made for the entire organization or for just one department or unit responsible for diversifying the organization. Self-nominations are encouraged.

NEW THIS YEAR: You do not have to be connected to a business or nonprofit to nominate. We welcome such nominations, and will reach out to the organization for further information. Feel free, though, to tell us why you feel the business or organization deserves recognition. Please see the attached form.

If interested in nominating a Company please complete the attached form. The deadline is the end of the Year and they will make their selections in early January. Employers can nominate their organizations. Anyone else can nominate an employer if it’s believed the employer exemplifies the theme of promoting diversity in the workplace. Diversity in race, gender, disability, sexual orientation and ethnic culture are taken into consideration.
