Establish an Internship Program with Management Association
There are several reasons why your organization should offer internships to the Management Association of the School of Business at SUNY New Paltz. For students, internships serve as a great opportunity to acquire essential personal and professional skills, build resumes, gain valuable work experience, and get ahead in today’s ever-challenging job market. Internships can be full-time during the summer, part-time, paid or unpaid, or for academic credit.
Employer Benefits To Offering Internships:
- Completion of special projects that may otherwise go undone due to a lack of staff or time constraints.
- Student interns are motivated and highly skilled workers who are eager and enthusiastic to learn.
- Student application of new ideas, perspectives, and technology learned in the classroom.
- Organizations that provide interns gain exposure within the community and are seen in a positive light by developing the future workforce.
- An opportunity to test out interns as potential employees and reduce recruiting costs.
