Medical marijuana is expected to become available in New York State in early 2016. New York's medical marijuana law provides that users of medical marijuana are "disabled" under the New York Human Rights Law, and disabled employees must be reasonably accommodated by employers under federal law as well as the New York State and City Human Rights Laws. Now is the time to plan.

Please join us for a specialized seminar focused on getting New York employers compliant with the law and ready to tackle issues that emerge under it.

At the seminar we will discuss:

    • What does this law really mean for New York employers?
    • Must medical marijuana use be permitted at work? Must an employee be permitted to have marijuana in his/her system while at work?
    • What if the employee's job duties are dangerous?
    • What should an employer do if a medical marijuana user tests positive on a drug test?
    • Should you consider implementing a drug testing policy now?
    • Must employers revise their drug policies and stop testing for marijuana?

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
