Complying with New York's New Anti-Sexual Harassment Legislation
Presented by: Ed Freer, Deputy Title IX Coordinator, Marist College

On April 12, 2018, New York Governor Cuomo signed the state budget, which mandates employers provide employees with annual sexual harassment training. New York legislators have passed a number of initiatives in the wake of the #MeToo movement and widespread allegations of sexual harassment in the workplace—including a law requiring employers to provide sexual harassment training to all workers.  By Oct. 9, New York employers must implement annual sexual-harassment training. Employers must provide the training and a written anti-harassment policy to employees starting in October. Read full article here.
