US Dept. of Homeland Security Programs

Bruce is assigned as the IMAGE Coordinator for the New York Metro area,  training and educating employers about I-9 Forms, E-Verify and the IMAGE Program. Bruce will give a brief background on what are DHS & HSII.  He will discuss Worksite Enforcement and the three-pronged approach.  The IMAGE program is a voluntary partnership between HSI and exemplary employers who want to do all that they can to ensure that their I-9 forms, and that their workforce are all in total compliance with the law. Started in 2006, the IMAGE (ICE Mutual Agreement between Government & Employers) Program has continued to identify and partner with exemplary employers. Open to employers of all sized & industry. You don't want to miss his helpful hints from ICE on Best Employment Practices.

SPEAKER: Bruce Scott is a Special Agent & IMAGE Coordinator with US Dept of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) based out of New York, NY. HSI is part of Immigrations & Customs Enforcement, which is in turn part of the US Department of Homeland Security. Bruce has over 22 years of experience working in federal law enforcement for HSI and one of its predecessor agencies, the US Immigration & Naturalization Service. He has worked in a number of programmatic areas within HSI, including critical infrastructure, national security, financial crimes, child exploitation, and worksite enforcement and, he is currently assigned as the IMAGE coordinator for the New York Metro area, conducting outreach and education to employers about the I-9 Form, E-Verify and the IMAGE Program. He has been the IMAGE coordinator for over five years and has assisted approximately 50 employers in joining the IMAGE Program. He has spoken to thousands of HR Professionals and company executives about what it takes for employers to be in compliance with law. Bruce has a business background and is very pro-business, and he really enjoys helping employers before they are the subject of a Form I-9 compliance audit. It is his goal, and the goal of IMAGE, to help employers be more prepared if audited, and to minimize the potential risk of significant fines being imposed.
